[Case Study] We want to melt aluminum shavings to reuse the metal.

I want to dissolve aluminum cutting powder to reuse the metal. The oil removal rate of the water-soluble oil attached to the aluminum cutting powder is 99.9%! It is possible to melt the metal without damaging the melting furnace!

We proposed and delivered the M-type centrifugal separator for removing oil from aluminum chips based on the request from Company N, a manufacturer of aluminum metal parts, who wanted to "dissolve aluminum chips containing water-soluble oil in a melting furnace to reform aluminum." 【POINT】Oil removal rate: 99.9% ■ Oil removal rate of water-soluble oil attached to aluminum chips: 99.9% They were considering using a rotary kiln to evaporate the water-soluble oil attached to the aluminum chips before feeding the chips into the melting furnace, but they consulted us to see if it was possible to achieve oil removal solely with the centrifugal separator, focusing on cost performance. We then received actual aluminum chips from the customer and conducted a test oil removal using our centrifugal separator. *Test Results Oil removal operation time: 10 minutes Amount of chips fed: = 24.62 kg Amount of chips collected: = 24.01 kg (including 2.24 kg of chips in the basket) Amount of oil collected: = 0.28 kg After the customer burned the chips post-oil removal, they measured the weight difference with the dried chips and found an oil content of 0.1%. Oil removal rate from test results: 99.9% Based on these test results, they decided to implement the proposed M-type centrifugal separator for removing oil from chips.
